As a historical-political science major, you'll think deeply and critically about the inner workings of political parties, government structures and social movements—and how they came to be. You'll develop skills in critical reading, persuasive writing, research design, public communication and more. In small classes, you’ll work side-by-side with outstanding faculty.

This interdisciplinary major is ideal for preparation for graduate school and sets you up for success in a variety of professions, including roles in politics, government, public service, law, education, business and nonprofit work.
