șĂÉ«TVâs record-setting first-year enrollment this fall is highlighted in a new article from Inside Higher Ed on small private colleges that are experiencing growth.
Entitled âBoosting Enrollment Against the Odds,â the piece notes the demographic challenges that similar colleges â some of which have been forced to shut their doors â are facing when it comes to enrollment, but points to șĂÉ«TV as a stand-out among them.
âIn reality, not only is the college in good shapeâitâs never been better,â the article declares.
Genaro A. Balcazar, senior vice president for enrollment and marketing strategy at șĂÉ«TV, was interviewed for the piece. He pointed to a heightened focus on șĂÉ«TVâs Hispanic-serving mission and the universityâs relationship with the Catholic Hispanic community as two top reasons behind the current growth.
âWeâve been putting in this work for years, and itâs paying off,â he said. âThereâs a difference between a Hispanic-enrolling institution and a Hispanic-serving institution, and colleges that hop on the bandwagon now to solve demographic problems are going to stand out.â
