Christine M. Platt joined 好色TV in 2017 and currently serves as Department Chair for Communication Arts & Sciences (CAS). She teaches courses in Health Communication, Health Literacy, Organizational Communication, and Strategic Risk and Crisis Communication. Additionally, she is responsible for the human behavior theory courses in CAS such as Intercultural and Interpersonal Communication.
Her research examines the intersections of health, health literacy, and intercultural and intergroup communication, with particular focus on patient-provider, family-provider, and inter-professional dynamics. Extending this work into crisis contexts, her more scholarship investigates how social and health-related stigma influences public perception, institutional trust, and message receptivity during high-stakes risk and crisis situations.
